This was my first waterfall in Iceland. Gullfoss means “Golden Waterfall”.It is located in the canyon of Olfusa river in southwest Iceland. It was hard to get closer without getting all wet. Waterfall is located quite close to the main road and it is easy to reach. It was a very windy weather so taking a shot on a tripod with long time exposure was extremely difficult. Fortunately I waited for a bit slower wind and took the shot. I used the Tokina 11-20 mm f/2.8 wide angle lens at 20 mm to capture this view from a distance. For 20 seconds exposure I have used Hoya PRO ND 1000 filter. Thanks to “Tokina Polska” and “NEXT77” who supplied me with this gear. This is the result of struggling with the wind to take a shot of incredible Gullfoss. I wish I could go back in time to Gullfoss, because I would be still before my whole Iceland Photography trip and could make it once again. I know that I will return there for sure. Additionally I am attaching below setup preview of taking that photograph. “The making of” picture was taken with mobile phone.
